Healthy Aging by United Way Webinar Invitation: Helping Keep Seniors Safe From Scams

Mount Waddington, B.C. - The United Way is inviting you to a healthy aging webinar:

 "Foiling the Fraudsters: Helping Keep Seniors Safe From Scams" on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 from 10:00-11:00AM PST.  

Please register here. Older adults are the most frequent targets of fraud, and these crimes often go unreported due to victims' embarrassment at being taken advantage of. CBSS staff and volunteers can play an important role in helping to prevent seniors being scammed by learning about common types of fraud and strategies to protect against them. This webinar will explore: - How to recognize fraud and the types of scams that typically target seniors - Digital security for seniors online - How to help seniors avoid being victims of fraud - What to do if you think you, or someone you know, is being scammed Presenters: 1.
